A wearable compression garment with embedded EMG and IMU sensors that monitors squat biomechanics and flags injury risk in real time, validated through clinical gait-lab testing at Monash.
The wearable integrates EMG and IMU sensors into a compression garment, with custom PCBs and firmware handling signal acquisition, motion tracking and wireless data transmission for real-time squat biomechanics monitoring.
Custom PCBs interface with the EMG and IMU sensors embedded in the garment, capturing muscle activation and motion data. Firmware handles signal conditioning, sampling and wireless transmission for downstream analysis.
Camera-based pose estimation tracks joint angles and body positioning during squats, providing a visual ground-truth reference that complements the EMG and IMU data for more robust injury-risk assessment and movement analysis.
