Motivation & mission
Monash Automation's outreach program was created to give students hands-on exposure to robotics and automation beyond the classroom. The goal is to make engineering feel accessible and achievable, particularly for students who wouldn't otherwise get the chance to try it, regardless of age or background.
2026 in numbers
In 2026, we ran over 15 events reaching more than 5,000 students, including local, rural and international participants, as well as workshops for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students. We also run regular lab tours and attend education conferences, giving students direct, practical experience with our projects and equipment.
