About the team
Systems & Infrastructure began with relatively simple internal work: managing account permissions, building Notion workflows, creating forms and maintaining administrative tools. As the organisation grew, so did the systems behind it.
The value of the team comes from working on systems that are genuinely used. Members gain experience with real infrastructure, real users and real operational constraints, while the wider organisation benefits from faster, more reliable workflows.
Connected infrastructure
Authentik provides central authentication, while NetBird connects users, servers and services across the private network. Critical services run on a six-node, highly available Kubernetes cluster using Talos Linux, deployed through Argo CD and CI/CD pipelines, with infrastructure configuration stored in Git so changes can be reviewed, tracked and reproduced. OpenBao handles application secrets.
The lab network is segmented using multiple VLANs, including dedicated management networks for Proxmox, router administration and KVMs. Storage is a ZFS-based array with approximately 100 TB of capacity, and Grafana, uptime monitoring and Vaultwarden provide observability, service monitoring and shared credential management.
