Overview
The Podiatry EduKit was developed by former team lead Yevan Ye in collaboration with Dr Keenan Granland, Dr Malia Ho and students of Monash University's Master of Podiatry Care. It fills a critical gap in podiatry education by offering a realistic, accessible and repeatable hands-on tool for practising procedures, at a fraction of the cost of existing solutions.
Growing beyond Monash
This year we delivered a number of kits to Charles Sturt University, our first orders from outside Monash. The team is now experimenting with materials and technology to increase realism, with different hardness across the model to more closely resemble a real foot, and expanding to other commonly practised podiatry procedures.
We have also developed toe models that address a gap in education after an existing solution stopped production. The model helps paramedic and podiatry students practise draining abscesses from the toe.
